“Access is not that good, the station is not well known, and there are only 3 parking spaces. However, it is a soba restaurant that has been popular for many years.
It’s not easy to get to, but it’s the most delicious and atmospheric soba restaurant in the Hakone area.

The exterior looks like a quaint old folk house, with an outbuilding and terrace.
The inside of the store has the appearance of an old folk house with tables and chairs on tatami mats, but it has been renovated so it feels like a beautiful old folk house.

Honestly, if you just look at the prices, it’s not a cheap shop, but if you go there, you’ll definitely be satisfied. ”

    A relaxing atmosphere

Matsubara-an is a soba restaurant built in an old folk house built in Matsubara, a place where the beach was right next to the beach and protected by a lot of pine trees. Even now, as a restaurant where you can relax as if you were at home, it delivers seasonal dishes including local dishes, soba noodles, and carefully selected sake and wine to people living and visiting Kamakura.

    Selected buckwheat four

Matsubara-an’s soba noodles are made with carefully selected buckwheat flour and are hand-pounded every day in the store. The finely sliced 28 soba noodles have a pleasant crunch and go well with the slightly sweet tsuyu, giving it an Edo-mae-style finish. For tempura, we also offer seafood hail fried seafood, which is unique to Kamakura.

    Local fish and vegetables

A wide variety of dishes are available with local fish, local vegetables, and other dishes that are particular about ingredients unique to Kamakura and can be enjoyed with local sake from Kanagawa and delicious sake and wine from all over Japan. Enjoy a relaxing gastronomic time with the scenery of the four seasons, such as the seasonal menu “duck pot” in winter.

    The soba noodle is chewy

The sudachi oni grated soba was also exquisite. Both the skin and the seeds of the sudachi can be eaten. The bitterness and sourness are good accents and can be refreshed. The soba noodles were chewy, smooth and delicious. Also, the fried seafood is really delicious, so please try it. You can eat it with coarse salt, or you can dip it in soba sauce.

The heartful hospitality of the staff

Of course, the food and drinks were delicious, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was also good, and above all, the heartfelt hospitality of the staff was wonderful. I wanted to emulate them as someone who works in the same service industry. It turned out to be a luxurious lunch, but it’s nice once in a while.

The signature menu of soba noodles

When you go through the goodwill, it is an entrance where you can take off your shoes and go up, and your shoes will be put away. There were seats in the store and terrace seats, and I was allowed to choose between chairs and tatami mats in the store. I got lost and ordered the signature menu of sudachi oni grated soba noodles and broiled duck (half size). It is said that almost half the dish can be served in half size. It is a nice service for one person. The duck was medium-grilled, and it went well with the green onions that were served with it, and it was soft and delicious.
