“A long-established teahouse with over 40 years of history where you can enjoy Nagashi Somen.
A bamboo lane has been set up in the garden surrounded by greenery to allow Nagashi Somen to flow, and you can enjoy Nagashi Somen from the end of March to the end of October.
It is so popular that there is a long line of people waiting for their turn during the mid-summer tourist season.
They select somen noodles that go well with Nagashi Somen and boil them each time they receive an order.
In winter, nabeyaki udon and warm soba noodles are also delicious.

Went to Kamakura to eat Nagashi somen

There are tables inside the restaurant, but the nagashi somen is served outside. So you can’t eat it on rainy days, but it was good that it was sunny. There are two bamboo poles, so it’s easier for right-handed people to pick up from the back. The price changes depending on whether you order just the soup, with grated yam, or with tempura. There is an extra charge for extra soup, so if you want to eat a lot, you might want to pay attention to the amount of soup. It was fun to see the lady checking how much you’ve eaten as she nagashi somen. She rolled it up a little so it was easy to grab.

    Homely atmosphere

The price seems high, but it’s all-you-can-eat and entertaining, so I guess it’s within the acceptable range. Nagashi somen is a team game. The mother who is nagashi somen will be sad, so make sure you don’t miss any. We enjoyed nagashi somen in the restaurant’s garden with the people at the table, and it felt like relatives gathered for Obon.

The atmosphere is so good that the heat is blown away

I visited around 1pm on a weekday, but I had to wait a little before I was able to enter. This time I ordered the grated yam and tempura set. The shiso tempura was really delicious and irresistible. The somen noodles are served in bite-sized portions, so it feels like you could eat them forever, but now that I think about it, I could only eat about one serving. The atmosphere was so good that the heat was blown away.

The best lunch for a summer season

They serve delicious somen noodles in a flowing somen style, and they have an all-you-can-eat course! It’s great for conversation with the people you go with. This time, I had the tempura and grated yam set. It was delicious. All the staff were very kind, and we had a really great meal. On the way back from Kamakura, I even said to my companion, “I want to go again!” Thank you for the wonderful memories.

    Freshly fried, crispy tempura

I went to Kita Kamakura for the first time because I wanted to try Nagashi somen. Since it was a weekday, I was able to get in without having to line up. I ordered tempura with grated yam. They sang a lot of somen and I was full. There were tourists and it was natural and delicious. The tempura was also freshly fried and crispy, and it was the best.

    Popular Nagashi Somen

Since this is a restaurant where you can enjoy Nagashi Somen, it was crowded with many foreigners. There was a longer line than I expected, but since I didn’t try Nagashi Somen, I was able to eat early. I ordered soba noodles with tempura.
