“A popular restaurant where you can enjoy sweets and set meals in an elegant space surrounded by the clear stream and greenery of the Notorigawa River in Asakura City.
Enjoy an extraordinary natural gourmet experience that you can never experience in the city! In the summer, it is so popular that you may not be able to enter.
When the rainy season ends, nearly 50 row seats are set up on or near the river, where you can relax and enjoy your meal.
We also offer exquisite dishes using locally branded chicken, Koshodori chicken, and Yamame trout.

This is a wonderful restaurant where you can enjoy coolness and delicious food on a hot summer day. The riverside terrace is set in a space rich in natural greenery and clear streams, where you can enjoy fresh salt-grilled yamame trout and skewered Asakura Jidori chicken! At the entrance to the restaurant, yamame trout and kodokoro chicken are being grilled over charcoal, and the wonderful aroma welcomes you. When you enter the restaurant, the babbling of the clear stream is very soothing.

The menu for August, when we visited, included salt-grilled yamame trout, skewered Kosho chicken, steamed wild vegetables, somen noodles, three-colored warabi mochi, and water manju. This time, we had salt-grilled yamame trout, skewered Kosho chicken, somen noodles, three-colored warabi mochi, and Kosho chicken rice. The somen noodles are served in a bamboo tube, with the somen noodles and sauce in each, allowing you to enjoy the summer atmosphere along with the flow of the river.

The yamame trout is fragrant and tasty, with just the right amount of salt, making it truly delicious. It was a big hit with the kids too. The grilled skewers of Kodokoro chicken are rich in fat, and the crispy skin is fragrant and full of flavor. The time spent on the riverside dining is filled with delicious food, the murmuring of the river, and the sense of freedom surrounded by nature, making it truly luxurious!

The grilled salted trout you eat on the riverside terrace is delicious. For a paid seat, you can stay for an hour for 800 yen, and the sound of the flowing river and the cool breeze are pleasant, allowing you to relax. For the free seats, it seems that you have to leave once you’ve finished eating. There was no set menu, so it felt more like enjoying beer, snacks, and sweets rather than a proper meal. It’s popular, so it was quite busy even on weekdays.

There is a river flowing right next to it, and although it may sound cliché, it’s like a natural cooler. The cool wind like an air conditioner hits my skin, but I can’t stop sweating, which is strange in summer. I wonder if there is a far-infrared heat? As for the waiting time, I was lucky that I had someone with me this time. It’s great to be able to talk.
