“At Hanachami, you can enjoy lectures on tea ceremony etiquette, a tea ceremony experience, and an otemae experience (the experience of making tea).
Both individuals and groups are welcome to participate, including those who are drinking matcha for the first time, foreigners visiting Japan*, and those interested in Japanese culture.
It doesn’t matter if you can’t sit straight.

Depending on the season, you will learn about the history of the tea ceremony, matcha, the relationship between tea ceremony and Zen, tea flowers, Japanese sweets, and other traditional Japanese events. Guests will enjoy matcha made by the host along with seasonal Japanese sweets, and each guest will also have the opportunity to try making their own matcha. ”
