    ALL RESTAURANTS Details

Opening on January 10, 2023! A restaurant specializing in live prawns from the Ginoza Prawn Farm Group. You can enjoy live prawns caught every morning as tempura, fries, or sashimi. There are 78 seats available, so it can be used by groups.

We serve tempura, fries, sashimi, and shabu-shabu using only live tiger prawns caught every morning, as Okinawa boasts the highest production volume in Japan. All dishes are prepared by peeling the shells of live prawns after an order is placed, so you can enjoy the chewy texture and fresh, mellow aroma. We also serve sashimi and shabu-shabu while they are still alive.

The 78-seat interior is a stylish space created by an interior designer.

    Kuruma Shrimp Restaurant Tamaya

is located in Nakijin Village in northern Okinawa Prefecture. As the name suggests,
this is a restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Okinawan dishes and dishes made with tiger prawns farmed in Ginoza Village/Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture, in a buffet style.

    At lunchtime,

you order one main menu item and choose what you like from the buffet.
There are 4 types of main menus in total. This time, I ordered “Kuruma Prawn Tempura”, “Fried Prawn”, and “Agu Pork Tonkatsu”. In addition to the dishes I ordered this time, there was an “Assorted Prawns and Local Fish Sashimi Platter”! !
Of course, there’s tempura and fries made with fresh tiger prawns. The Agu pork cutlet was also delicious! !

    In the buffet corner,

there is an array of menus that change daily, mainly Okinawan cuisine. On this day, we will have a traditional Okinawan healthy menu. It was perfect in appearance, taste, and nutrition! ! The recommended item at the buffet corner is the spiced curry made with Tamaya’s prawn stock! ! I couldn’t believe this was all you can eat. Be careful not to get full just from the food in the buffet corner! !

    Godzilla Tendon

Godzilla represents the size of a tiger shrimp and is approximately 18cm. The tempura bowl consists of two live tiger shrimp, pumpkin, eggplant, green beans, carrots, shimeji mushrooms, and handmade salmon tempura. It looks quite impressive, and as soon as it comes out, customers can’t help but say, “Wow!” The shrimp heads are fried crispy, and the shrimp miso is rich and the flavor is irresistible! What’s more, the tempura sauce, which has remained unchanged since its founding, is sweet and goes perfectly with the tempura.

    godzilla fries set meal

You rarely see such big fried tiger prawns!
This is Godzilla’s size, but there are larger sizes such as Megagodzilla, Monster, and Ultra.
It’s no less impressive than Tendon, and since it’s cooked with the head still attached, it looks like it’s going to start moving at any moment.
As for the texture, it seems that the knife is not cut into the shrimp compared to tempura, and the shrimp is cooked to have a more tender texture.

    Godzilla sashimi set meal

It can be said that this dish can only be served using live shrimp sent directly from the farm.
By the way, the live tiger prawns caught on the same day are cooked quickly so that they are still moving when served to customers.
As a result, the headless shrimp can perform performances such as bouncing in the bowl and moving in the mouth.
