We will deliver the warm light of washi paper lighting to you.

At Akari Design Studio, we use our own handmade washi paper to create original designs that utilize the sensibility of Kyoto. We also accept orders for custom and semi-custom designs to suit each space, such as stores and homes. At Akari Design Studio, we do not think of washi lighting fixtures as just fixtures that provide light, but as tools that create a space while being close to your life. We create washi lighting that is not simply categorized as Japanese or Western, but suits modern living environments. The soft light that envelops the space and envelops your life is used as “light that envelops people’s hearts”. In addition, you can make your own unique light in the world with the washi lighting handmade experience.
