In the 21st year of the Meiji era, the history of our shop began at the same time as the opening of a new road connecting Omiya and Iwatsuki in this area.
It started with river fish dishes and is now patronized as a ryokan.
Shindoyama House is designed so that everyone can enjoy “relaxation and taste”.
We offer multi-course meals that express seasonal flavors and colors in a sukiya-style tatami room.
At the restaurant, we further refine our traditional techniques and constantly pursue Japan cuisine with new ideas.

Seasonal banquet cuisine, painstakingly prepared by head chef Kurata Katsuya, who honed his skills at a famous restaurant in Tokyo’s Ginza district. Each dish captures the changing seasons in vivid colors, and while remaining faithful to traditional techniques, the restaurant pursues unique cuisine with a new approach. All rooms are private. They can be used for a variety of purposes, such as introductions, first meals, and large banquets.

The interior of the building, with its Sukiya-style architecture and the warmth of wood, is a historic space that exudes the luxury of a traditional Japanese restaurant. All guest rooms are Japanese-style rooms with tatami rooms, making this a “Japanese inn.” There are also special rooms equipped with cypress baths. As a government-registered international tourist inn, guests from Japan and overseas can stay here safely and securely. Please come and relax with your family and friends during your trip.

We are located in a lush green environment adjacent to Omiya Park, which still retains the image of Musashino. A large 320-year-old zelkova tree will welcome you.
As the sign for the Ryotei Ryokan (Japanese inn and restaurant) suggests, you can enjoy Japanese cuisine filled with the colors and flavors of the season.
It might be better to call it a Ryotei where you can stay overnight, or a Japanese auberge.
We welcome you with warm hospitality and a refreshing sukiya-style Japanese room with the scent of wood.

In Japan, there are 24 divisions of seasons called 24 solar terms. The year is divided into 12 months and 12 sections, and each section is given a name. You can see that the movement of ingredients gathered at the market changes in accordance with these solar terms in a mysterious way. Starting this month, we have also changed our menu according to the 24 solar terms, so that you can enjoy the changing of the seasons even more.

Following a request from Governor Ono Motohiro, our restaurant has met all the requirements for the “Saitama Prefecture New Lifestyle” and has been officially approved as a practicing restaurant. We have taken this opportunity to set up our own regulations and renovated our large hall and guest rooms. We will continue to be creative and innovative so that everyone can enjoy Japanese cuisine safely and with peace of mind while avoiding the three Cs.
