“At Easy Tea Ceremony Cafe & Tea Ceremony Class “Tsunagu,” we always provide services that truly satisfy our customers, so that even people who have never been exposed to Japanese culture can learn and experience Japanese culture with peace of mind. I will continue to do so.
At a tea ceremony class, you won’t feel embarrassed if you don’t know anything, and both adults and children can have a fun time learning both practical and classroom lessons.
Tea room: 1 to 20 people, Table: 1 to 13 people
It depends on the number of people, but if you have a small group, we can accommodate you anytime (9:00-18:00) as long as there is an instructor available.
If you have a large group, we ask that you do it on a weekday if possible, but we will coordinate with your schedule.
One session takes about 1 hour to 1 and a half hours.
In the case of a tea room: About 1 hour First, you will learn how to bow, how to sit, how to stand, how to walk around the tea room, how to enter the tea room, etc.
After experiencing opening and closing the fusuma, the instructor will observe the etiquette of making tea, and as a guest you will learn about the etiquette of serving as a guest while enjoying matcha and Japanese sweets. At the end, we all made tea and talked about the principles of tea ceremony.
About 45 minutes at a table
The basics are the same as ①, but there is no walking style or opening and closing of the sliding doors.
First, you will learn how to greet people, then watch as the instructor makes tea at the table, and learn how to serve tea and serve sweets. At the end, we all made tea and talked about the principles of tea ceremony.
English is available, but some of our staff are available.
While we are coordinating your schedule, it would be helpful if you could have an interpreter come with you if possible.
