    CULTURE WORKSHOP Details

You can observe how fresh yatsuhashi is made at the workshop on the first floor of the main building. (Tours are free) You can taste freshly made yatsuhashi in front of the workshop.

You will be able to experience the “first-time excitement.”

Embroidery began with the history of clothing. The sewing technique of sewing together animal skin with fishbone needles was eventually perfected into the technique of decorating patterns. It began in Japan during the Kofun period, and it seems that the technique of embroidering Buddha images was introduced from China during the Asuka period. Then, during the Heian period, clothing embroidery flourished magnificently.

    《Children’s experiences and adult accompaniment》

As a general rule, children alone are not allowed to participate in the experience, and adults must participate in the experience as well. For hygiene reasons and to avoid crowding, we ask that adults refrain from entering the experience room to observe the experience (accompanying children). For children under elementary school age, we limit the number of adults accompanying each child (assisting during the experience). Children over elementary school age can participate in the experience without any problems. Please come and enjoy the experience together.
